Jakarta, May 3, 2021 – Falah Fakhriyah’s interest in the local fashion industry brought her the opportunity to become Head of Category Development (Fashion) Tokopedia.
Since joining Tokopedia in 2019, she has been responsible for presenting various innovations and initiatives to make it easier for buyers and sellers, especially in the Fashion category.
Falah helps businesses in the local fashion industry adapt to the midst of a pandemic through Tokopedia, one of which is by innovating an online fashion bazaar that was previously held offline.
“For example, Jakarta Sneakers Day (JSD), JakCloth, Semasa, Market & Museum, LocalFest, and many more,” said Falah.
Falah added, “Collaboration with local businesses in the fashion industry is a form of Tokopedia’s commitment to #AlwaysAvailableAlwaysPossible to make it easier for people to meet their needs while helping local MSMEs maintain their business amid the pandemic.”
The various programs presented by Falah and her team have contributed to increasing the number of sellers on Tokopedia. Currently, there are more than 10 million sellers on Tokopedia, meaning that it has jumped by more than 2.8 million from 7.2 million sellers since last January 2020.
Falah and around 50 Nakama (Tokopedia employees) she leads in the Fashion Team are actively presenting innovations that can support businesses in Indonesia, especially local MSMEs, to continue to develop their business in the midst of a pandemic.
One of them is ‘Fitur Rilisan Spesial’ which can help sellers launch new products exclusively and ‘Fitur Tambah Sekaligus (bulk upload)’ which can make it easier for sellers to add products in large quantities simultaneously easily and quickly.
In addition, Fitur Diskon Toko and Fitur Voucher Toko are also presented to make it easier for sellers to expand the market because they can increase people’s shopping interest through various offers such as discounts and vouchers.
In the future, Tokopedia, through Falah, hopes to continue to accelerate the adoption of digital platforms for as many business activists as possible in Indonesia, including in the fashion industry, as well as provide various facilities and added value for the Indonesian people.
Tokopedia, as an Indonesian technology company, has a mission to democratize commerce through technology. Tokopedia’s vision is to build a Super Ecosystem where anyone can start and discover anything. To this day, Tokopedia has empowered millions of merchants and users across the marketplace and digital goods, financial technology and payment, logistics and fulfillment, including Mitra Tokopedia.
