Tiadakan Selebrasi di Ramadan Ekstra,  Tokopedia Fokus Beri Solusi Tangani Pandemi

Indonesia, 7 April 2020 – Sejak 2018, Ramadan Ekstra telah menjadi tradisi belanja terbesar dari Tokopedia, namun di tengah pandemi COVID-19, Tokopedia mengambil langkah tegas dan mengumumkan penyesuaian kampanye Ramadan Ekstra tahun ini.

William Tanuwijaya, CEO dan Founder Tokopedia, mengatakan, “Walau telah melalui persiapan berbulan-bulan, kami memutuskan selebrasi tidak akan menjadi fokus di Ramadan tahun ini. Tokopedia akan fokus membantu upaya pemerintah dalam menanggulangi persebaran COVID-19. Kami berkomitmen memastikan masyarakat dapat memenuhi kebutuhan tanpa harus ke luar rumah, menjaga kelangsungan bisnis para penjual, sekaligus turut mendorong pemulihan ekonomi Indonesia, lewat kampanye #JagaEkonomiIndonesia.”

Terdapat tiga prioritas dari kampanye terbaru dari Tokopedia. Pertama, memastikan masyarakat dapat memenuhi berbagai kebutuhan, terutama selama Ramadan, dari rumah. Kepastian yang dimaksud meliputi ketersediaan produk, harga terjaga dan kemudahan pengiriman lewat peningkatan layanan bersama para mitra logistik dan fitur Bebas Ongkir.

Prioritas ke-dua adalah menjaga perputaran roda ekonomi Indonesia dengan memastikan para penjual dapat terus berbisnis melalui Tokopedia, juga memastikan mereka yang baru memulai mendapatkan kemudahan berbisnis daring. Di kampanye kali ini, Tokopedia akan menggulirkan berbagai inisiatif bernilai tambah lebih demi mempermudah para penjual membantu masyarakat memenuhi kebutuhan.

Sebagai upaya membantu pemerintah, prioritas ke-tiga dari kampanye #JagaEkonomiIndonesia adalah ikut mendorong pemulihan ekonomi yang tengah melambat karena pandemi. Sebagai Super Ekosistem yang mencakup transaksi dari berbagai industri lewat kemitraan luas, Tokopedia berharap kampanye ini dapat mengakselerasi pemulihan ekonomi negeri.

“Tokopedia menyampaikan apresiasi kepada para mitra yang telah mendukung kampanye ini dan mengajak seluruh masyarakat menyatukan semangat dan upaya dalam menanggulangi pandemi COVID-19,” tutup William. Kampanye terbaru Tokopedia akan berlangsung dalam tiga tahapan, mulai dari bulan April sampai dengan akhir Juli 2020.

Withdrawing the Celebration from ‘Ramadan Ekstra’, Tokopedia Focuses on Providing Solutions to Overcome the Pandemic

Indonesia, 7 April 2020 – Since 2018, Ramadan Ekstra has become Tokopedia’s largest shopping tradition. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Tokopedia has taken a decisive step to announce changes to this year’s Ramadan Ekstra campaign.

William Tanuwijaya, CEO and Founder of Tokopedia, said, “Despite months of preparation, we decided that celebration will not be the focus of Ramadan this year. Tokopedia will focus on assisting government efforts in tackling the spread of COVID-19. We are committed to ensuring Indonesian society can meet their needs without leaving the house, maintaining the business continuity of our sellers, while also contributing to the recovery of the Indonesian economy, through the #JagaEkonomiIndonesia (Protect the Indonesian Economy) campaign.”

There are three priorities from Tokopedia’s latest campaign. First, ensuring that society can meet various needs from home, especially during Ramadan. This includes product availability, price stability and ease of delivery through improved services with logistics partners and the Bebas Ongkir feature.

The second priority includes maintaining the Indonesian economy’s wheels by ensuring that sellers can continue to do business through Tokopedia, as well as providing ease of doing business online for those who have just started. In this campaign, Tokopedia will roll out further value-added initiatives to make it easier for sellers to help people meet their needs.

As an effort to help the government, the third priority of the #JagaEkonomiIndonesia (Protect the Indonesian Economy) campaign is to help encourage economic recovery that is currently slowing due to the pandemic. As a Super Ecosystem that collaborates with various partners in different industries to provide a wide range of transaction options, Tokopedia hopes that this campaign can accelerate the country’s economic recovery.

Tokopedia’s latest campaign will take place in three stages, from April to the end of July 2020.
