Sumatera Utara, March 30, 2022 – Tokopedia recently partnered with the North Sumatra Provincial Government to launch E-Samsat, an online service to help North Sumatra residents pay their Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) easily and securely.
North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi explained, “Tax compliance is one of the cornerstones for successful regional development. We hope that the Tokopedia E-Samsat service can encourage the residents of North Sumatra to meet their PKB obligations on time.”
"Tokopedia is very grateful to the North Sumatra Provincial Government for their cooperation in the digitalization of public services. We hope that this partnership will have a positive impact on the regional economy,” said Astri Wahyuni, Director of Public Policy and Government Relations at Tokopedia.
Astri added that transactions made through Tokopedia's E-Samsat service almost doubled in 2021 compared to 2020. "This shows a high level of public awareness in meeting their tax obligations," Astri revealed.
Through Tokopedia E-Samsat, North Sumatra taxpayers can pay their PKB obligations and receive a valid Electronic Tax Payment Receipt (E-TBPKP) that they can download and then print.
PKB payments are now even easier – the process can be completed in minutes anytime, anywhere with Tokopedia. Simply search for ‘E-Samsat’ on Tokopedia, select ‘Samsat Sumut’, and enter your license plate, vehicle identification number, and ID number.
Taxpayers will receive a PKB payment code on the Mobile E-Samsat Sumut Bermartabat app, before making transactions through Tokopedia E-Samsat.
Then click on ‘Cek Tagihan’ and select the desired payment method. Tokopedia has over 50 payment options to choose from, including installments, bank transfers, e-money, and many others.
In addition, there are no nominal limits on single tax transactions, so taxpayers can pay any amount of tax without worry.
Tokopedia E-Samsat service is currently available in various parts of Indonesia, including the Riau Islands, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, and East Kalimantan – with more areas to come in the future.
