East Java, 9 February, 2021 – Tokopedia together with the Batu City Government recently held Festival Produk Lokal Kota Batu exclusively on February 1-5, 2021. This festival received high enthusiasm from the people of Batu City and was visited by more than 23,000 times through Tokopedia during the event.
External Communications Senior Lead Tokopedia, Ekhel Chandra Wijaya revealed, “Through Festival Produk Lokal Kota Batu, we hope to accelerate the adoption of digital platforms for local business activists so that they can adapt and sustain their businesses during a pandemic.”
150 businesses from various industries, such as culinary, fashion, handicrafts and many others, participated in the Festival Produk Lokal Kota Batu.
Based on Tokopedia’s internal data, the Food and Beverage, Kitchen and Household, Fashion and Health categories are the four most popular categories during the festival.
- Food and Beverages – Various food and beverage products such as chips, chocolate, pie and honey, are in high demand during the festival. Pia Mangkok Shop, a food business, managed to record a transaction increase of more than 2x during the festival.
- Kitchen and Household – As many people are doing activities at home, it makes various household needs, such as plant pots, home decorations or decorations, as well as cutlery, is highly sought after at the Batu City Local Products Festival.
- Women’s Fashion – Because many people have to do activities at home, a lot of them started shopping for fashion products that are comfortable and can be used while at home. During the campaign, fashion products such as sleeping gown were a favorite product.
- Health – In the health category, motion support products and massage devices are products that are much sought after during the festival.
