Jakarta, 22 March 2021 – Welcoming the month of Ramadan, Tokopedia presents various initiatives that can make it easier for business owners, especially traditional business owners and local MSMEs, to develop businesses in the midst of a pandemic.

Traditional Business Owners Can Win Prize Worth Rp. 125 Million 

Tokopedia launched Bedug (Bersama Dapat Untung) Mitra Tokopedia to encourage traditional business owners – including small shop owners, grocery stores and other similar businesses – to maximize sales ahead of the month of Ramadan.

Tokopedia’s Head of New Retail, Karina Susilo, said “This campaign is a form of appreciation for the millions of traditional business owners who have taken advantage of the Mitra Tokopedia platform to develop their businesses while being more enthusiastic in serving the Indonesian people in meeting their daily needs.”

During the campaign period (30 March-30 April 2021), traditional business owners can get many benefits, one of which is daily cashback for every postpaid product transaction at Tokopedia Partners.

There is also a wholesale discount of Rp. 500,000 and free shipping every day, as well as the opportunity to get a prize worth Rp. 125 million.

#SIAPRAMADAN Curriculum Maximizes Sales During Ramadan

On the other hand, Tokopedia will also present the #SIAPRAMADAN2021 Curriculum, a series of educational materials that can be accessed by business owners, especially local MSMEs, to maximize sales during Ramadan.

“These various materials are adjusted to the level of the seller, namely beginner, intermediate and advanced. Apart from that, Tokopedia also provides other assistance in the form of webinars or virtual talk shows,” said Tokopedia Merchant Education Senior Lead, Pipit Indrawati.

Materials that sellers can get ranging from tips to attract potential buyers’ attention, various promotional features that can be used, how to make a shop appearance more attractive during Ramadan, to tips related to more relevant branding.

There are even materials available related to strategies for dealing with competition, creating campaigns and choosing logistics to boost sales during Ramadan.

Apart from following the #SIAPRAMADAN Curriculum, local business activists can also maximize sales by participating in the upcoming Ramadan Parcel campaign. The seller simply uploads the parcel product to the shop with the product naming formula: Ramadan parcels + product type + brand + description. The seller’s parcel product will appear on the campaign-only page.
