La Belle Vie Homestay

THe owner is just lovely. We had to leave the homestay early in the morning and she prepared our breakfast to take away. She is the BEST!!

Mosques EVERYWHERE chanting for hours.

My stay at La Belle Vie was just wonderful from start to finish! The family is so incredibly kind and welcoming - Nurul picked me up from the train station even though it was quite late and she also took me around town when I needed to buy some things, she also took me to the Chinese temple in town and we went to get some food. She is so funny and sweet and I'm so glad I had some time to hang out with her. Her husband, Habib, is also great and was always making sure everything was OK. Their little son was adorable, too. The place is beautiful and comfy with a great view of the mountain on the terrace (although I didn't really get to see it because it was too cloudy :D) and it has everything you need. Oh and breakfast on the terrace was amazing - Nurul is such a good cook. This is really a special place and it's an experience you don't want to miss out on!

There is nothing not to like! As other reviews mention, there is a mosque nearby so if you don't have earplugs it will likely wake you up early in the morning, but if you have traveled in any Muslim country/area you will be used to this.

Mbak Nurul is the best host one could have asked for! She makes me feel like I'm part of the family and would go the extra mile to ensure my comfort. She let me checkin early, even cleaned the room herself to make sure I could rest well. She made my breakfast early in the morning to cater my need to checkout around 6.30AM. The room was nothing but simple and comfortable. I thought I would have a hard time sleeping in a room with fan but turns out, a fan is enough! I didn't even turn it on on the second night because it was pretty cold.

Constant sound from the mosques nearby. Not the property's fault though. :D And it must be even more comfortable to have a stronger water pressure at the bathroom.

Nurul and Abib were the best hosts. They took care of us and arranged our hiking to the Ijen + visit to a local farm where we learned about coffee plantation and preparation with a friendly local driver. The breakfast was incredible and the room super confortable.

Huge and realy tipical breakfast. The host speaks fluent French and English.
