Popular in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and almost in every Chinatown area worldwide, these buns are known by the name of Bolo Bao/Polo Bun/Pineapple Bun.
However, the original Bolo Bao does not contain any pineapple in it. The name is simply refers to the topping appearance, which resembles a pineapple's skin. These buns are soft and fluffy, and topped with sweet cookie crust.
