DESCRIPTION
CAMP TEST- S is constituted by paper discs impregnated with Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 used to estimate haemolytic power
of group B streptococci and listeriae.
CAMP factor is an extracellular substance produced by group B streptococci and some strains of Listeria which increases lysis of red
cells by beta- lysin of Staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococcus aureus used for the impregnation is a viable and and stabilized
microorganism resulting from the collection of the American Type of Culture Collection (ATCC).
