Right of access
Tokopedia users may submit a request to obtain a copy of their personal data that is stored or processed by Tokopedia.

Right of rectification

Right of erasure
Tokopedia users may submit a request for the erasure of their personal data. It should be noted, however, that there are certain personal data that will be essential for Tokopedia to ensure security and provide the best user experience, hence deletion of such data will result in account deletion instead.

Right of restriction of processing
Tokopedia users may submit a request to restrict or limit the processing of their personal data to ensure that the processing is only conducted based on the initial purpose of processing that has been agreed upon beforehand.

Right of data portability
Tokopedia users may submit a request to obtain a copy of their personal data in a common format and request Tokopedia to transfer their personal data to another data controller.

Right to object
Tokopedia users may submit a request to restrict the processing of their personal data for the purpose of direct marketing, fulfillment of the data controller’s obligations in terms of public interest, and/or fulfillment of other legitimate interests by taking into account the objectives, needs, and balance of interests of the data controllers, as well as the rights of the data subject. 

Right to object to automated decision making & profiling
Tokopedia users may submit a request to object to the processing of their personal data which is being conducted in an automated manner and resulting in legal consequences for them.

Below is several items that shall be taken into account in submitting the Data Subject Request:

1. It should be noted that the exercise of any data subject rights may only be conducted under certain grounds and limitations.
2. Tokopedia has the right to request proof of identity and other documents needed in the exercise of User rights as the owner of personal data (for instance: ID card, email, telephone number, proof of transaction, and any supporting documents in case necessary).
3. Tokopedia will review the proof of identity and any supporting documents to verify whether the requester is the actual data subject intended to exercise their rights. In case of a discrepancy in the proof of identity and the supporting documents, Tokopedia may deny the request.
4. In the event that the requester is authorised to submit the request on behalf of the other data subject, a power of attorney or a statement containing the authorisation for the requester to submit the request is required.
5. Tokopedia has the right to request additional information from the requester to comply with the request. The request may be pending for completion until additional information has been provided by the requester.
6. The requester may submit a new ticket in case of a rejection of their previous ticket.
