The Martin Pelvimeter is used in gynecological procedures to measure the external diameter of the pelvis to assess whether a woman can give birth to a child through normal vaginal delivery. The instrument has two curved jaws that are hinged together with an inch and cm scale to assess the actual size and an overall length of 34 cm. The surgeons use the Martin Pelvimeter to assess the distant between the ischial spines and calculate the diameter of the pelvis. All of our Martin Pelvimeters are crafted from durable, surgical grade stainless and may be sterilized and reused.
