Jotamastic 80 is a surface-tolerant epoxy mastic primer designed for maintenance and repair. Jotamastic 80 is a high solids product especially suited for areas where optimal surface preparation is not possible or required. Jotamastic 80 can be used as a primer, midcoat or as a single-coat system in atmospheric environments. It can be applied at sub-zero surface temperatures on properly prepared carbon steel, and on aged coating surfaces. For immersed environments Jotamastic 80 Aluminium is suitable. Typical use General: Primarily designed for maintenance and repair. In immersed environments Jotamastic 80 Aluminium is suitable. Marine: Outside hulls, exterior and interior areas. Protective: Recommended for offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, mining equipment and general structural steel. Thinner/Cleaning solvent Thinner: Jotun Thinner No. 17 Application The product can be applied by Spray: Use airless spray. Brush: May be used. Care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness. Roller: May be used. However when using roller application care must be taken to apply sufficient material in order to achieve the specified dry film thickness
