Like the original, the Berkeley features a non-nonsense  setup of but two knobs to dial in your sound, with an astounding range  of dirt tones across its sweep — from a slight grit to full-blown  wall-of-sound fuzz madness. Moreover, the Berkeley continues the JHS  Legends of Fuzz Tradition with a side-mounted Mode switch for extended  tonal flexibility. Wrap it all up in a decidedly old-school slanted  metal enclosure, and the JHS Berkeley is a must-have pedal for any  vintage-style fuzz fanatic.   INSPIRED BY AN ALL-TIME CLASSIC FUZZ Back  in 1973, legendary studio guru Craig Anderton (a frequent contributor  to Sweetwater’s inSync) and John Lang founded Seamoon Inc. soon after  releasing their first fuzzy creation: the Fresh Fuzz. While it would  later become a frequent favorite of famous guitarists like Eric Johnson  and Tom Scholz of Boston, very few of these pedals were made, If you’re  lucky enough to find one today, they tend to have a price that reflects  their exceptional scarcity.
