Wave Audio LI-22 Line Isolator is a professional line isolator specially developed by Wave Audio with the best line isolator standards, namely Walrus Audio Canvas as a basis and using the best electronic components that are even the same as those used by the best line isolators today. Wave Audio LI-22 functions like a direct box but produces a different level out.
- DI- Box: the level out is MIC level
- Line Isolator: the level out is LINE / INST level (signal is HOT)
One of the reasons for using LI is to chase the level out that is already line level, so it is not lowered again to MIC level, then raised again / increased again the gain, so that the noise floor is also raised, and the output is more consistent even though it is a different console mixer.
Wave Audio LI-22 has dual channels so it can be used for your stereo rig, and is also equipped with a groundlift and pad. You can also use it as a regular Direct Box.
