Dreamcast: Sonic Adventure

Sonic the Hedgehog and friends finally returned to the spotlight in this 1999 Dreamcast launch title. After 1994's Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic the Hedgehog sort of fell off the map. Though a number of spin-offs followed for years to come, Sonic Team moved on to other franchises like NiGHTS: into Dreams... and Burning Rangers. Five years after their last Sonic game, Sonic Team returned to the Sonic franchise for Sonic Adventure, the first all-3D Sonic game and a launch title for Sega's new Dreamcast console.
