Modul yang menggunakan chip produksi FTDI, yaitu FT232RL berfungsi sebagai converter data USB To TTL/Serial. FT232RL merupakan konverter kelas industri, jauh lebih baik ketimbang PL2303 atau CH340. Modul ini biasa digunakan sebagai "komunikator" antara komputer dengan berbagai macam device seperti arduino pro mini, ESP8266, bluetooth HC-05 dll.
