Jam Vintage Omega Geneve Dynamic Disco Volante Full Original not ORIS HAMILTON LONGINES CARTIER

This is a very lovely Disco Volante shape, the Italian for Flying Saucer. Take a glance at its top, and you’ll easily be reminded of the disco era that carries the upbeat, vibrant, and cheerful spirit. When you look at it from its side, you’ll recognise a perfect UFO image brought straight out of your childhood imagination.

The crown is placed on the horizontally-brushed middle part of the case, sandwiched by the radial-finished bezel and caseback, which gave it that contrasting look. On top of them is a domed crystal where a little alien may peek through.

Now, zoom in on that ocean-blue dial. At first, those hour markers might look like “any” applied baton indices. But they are so uniquely shaped like the Nissen huts of military barracks. Plus, they’re filled with white inlays, completing the funky style. I really dig into this individual watch, easily a statement piece any day.

CONDITION

9.5/10. It feels almost brand new, everything is original down to the dress-buckle. There are only slight hairline scratches on the crystal, case & caseback. The radial finish on the bezel is, I believe, factory-state–I don’t think that a re-polish can achieve such perfect consistency and neatness. The leather strap is still very, very straight, suggesting very little wear, if any at all. It also comes with a signed Omega box, though the tight-fit suggests it’s for a different model, but original nonetheless.
