With a focal length of 50mm at the wide end, you can capture the close-up subject while making use of the background, and this new lens is ideal for a variety of situations such as landscapes, whale watching, sports and group photos. Despite its wide range of focal lengths, this lens is compact and lightweight with a length of just 183.4mm (7.2in) and weight of 1,155g (40.7oz). This makes it easy to handle, and also makes it useful in situations where you want to reduce the weight and space.
