Cebex 031 chloride free integral waterproofing admixture isbased on a blend of hydrophobic and air entraining surfactants.It is supplied as a pink solution which instantly disperses inwater. The surfactants in Cebex 031 react in the cement : sand mixtureto produce insoluble hydrophobic precipitates. These have atwo-fold effect in reducing the permeability of the mix as theyboth repel moisture, due to their hydrophobic nature, and actas pore blocking agents to reduce the inter-connectivity ofporosity in the mix.
