Ink sticks are the traditional method of producing ink that has been used by Chinese artists for over 2,000 years. The sticks are ground against an ink slab and then the resulting powder is mixed with water to produce the ink. The amount of water used determines the consistency of the ink.

how to use :
- use clean water to grind ink, not tea or hot water, preferably less than too much water.
- grinding with moderate speed and weight
- the ink stick should be held vertically and straight
- the ink should be ground to moderate shade, not too thick or too light
- after grinding, the excess water around the ink should be dipped in and stored in a box to prevent from drying out.

if the ink too thick, add water and grind again
