The Samyang 50mm f/1.4 AS UMC lens slots in between the Samyang 35mm and 85mm lenses. The 50mm is a standard focal length prime lens, with fast f1.4 aperture and is full frame compatible, and is also suitable for smaller sensor cameras.
Offering a 46.2 degrees field of view with a fast aperture of f/1.4 means it is superb for low light shooting and shallow depth of field photography where separation of the subject from the background is desired and beautiful bokeh with a circular aperture with 8 blades.
Optics of the lens consists of nine lens elements arranged in six groups (including one aspherical and one hybrid aspherical lens element). To ensure high contrast and faithful colour reproduction, all lens elements have been covered with Samyang's multi-layered UMC anti-reflective coatings.
