It has a Neodymium motor that powers a reinforced polypropylene cone with a Santoprene surround. An ultra-efficient 25mm dome tweeter with integrated phase plug produces the highs, and a Santoprene front isolation spider connects the tweeter housing and cone assembly, making it water/weather resistant. The speaker equipped with two types of terminals: a standard set for 2013 and older motorcycles, and a new Deutsch style connector for 2014 and newer motorcycles.

These speakers have a small motor structure that drives a reinforced polypropylene cone for excellent midrange and low frequency performance. VAST (Vertical Attach Surround Technique) surrounds from Rockford give the speakers 25% more cone area without compromising installation ease. The 1" film tweeter is weatherproof and delivers clear, crisp highs even at highway speeds.
As a result of all of this, a smaller speaker will provide more performance, which is ideal for a motorcycle. The element-ready design shields these speakers from wind and weather, while the glass-reinforced polymer frame can withstand rough roads and scorching sunlight.
