Sony2Alexa RCM PowerGrades allows you to match the Sony A7SIII, A7IV, FX3 and FX6 to the Alexa when using the "Analytical Color Management" workflow. It should produce better results when using RCM print film emulation PowerGrades.
Node 01corrects each RGB channel using the RGB curve.
Node 02is the 3x3 matrix and is the heart of the transformation. This matrix is located in the RGB mixer and it aligns the Sony colors to match the Alexa.
The node after node02is where I balance the image and make exposure adjustments. This is best done in the HDR Wheels panel, usingthe global color wheelto balance the color cast andthe Expcontrols to adjust the exposure. You can also attach other RCM power levels after this balance/exp node, such as the RCM PFE power level.
To use RCM PowerGrades, set Color Science to DaVinci YRGB Color Management, set Color Processing Mode to HDR DaVinci Wide Gamut Intermediate, and set the Output Color Space to match the color space of the deliverable.
