Dr.Vet Feline Calici Virus Antigen Rapid Test Kit for Cats
Feline Calicivirus (FCV) can cause a viral respiratory infectious disease in cats, mainly manifested with upper respiratory symptoms, depression, serous and mucous rhinorrhea, conjunctivitis, stomatitis, tracheitis, bronchi- tis, accompanied by biphasic fever.This product can quickly detect feline distemper virus antigen in feline secretions by immunochromatography.
SPECIMEN COLLECTION
Use only the swabs provided with the test kit for specimen collection.Collect a feline fecal specimen by gently inserting a sterile cotton swab into the cat's anus (insert about 2~3cm), then gently rotate and pull it out, or dip the swab into an appropriate amount of fresh feces. After the specimen is collected, imediately insert the swab into extraction buffer tube. Avoid swabbing and inserting excessive amount of specimen into the test tube, as it may block the filter cap or test device when dispensing sample extracts.
TEST METHOD
Remove the test device from the sealed pouch and place it on a clean and flat surface just prior to starting test.
Shake the test tube and then peel off the seal of the tube. Insert the tip of the swab with the specimen and move the swab up and down more than 10 times to ensure sufficient sample extraction.Remove the swab while pressing against the sides of the tube to ensure maximum amount of liquid has been squeezed from the swab.
Equip the filter cap on the test tube and immediately dispense 3 drops of sample extracts into the sample well of the device.
Read results within 5-10 minutes after applying the sample
