Through this publication, Daud Sihombing and Reza Kutjh unveil the shards of their alienation in the enchanting land called Venice. Just as they navigated the narrow, winding paths between Ospedale, Arsenale, and Sant’Elena, they witnessed the bewilderment of locals braving the unrelenting rain that fell upon Venice for days on end in mid-September. This exploration invites readers to reflect on the delicate dance between familiarity and estrangement, suggesting that even in a place as iconic as Venice, the intertwining experiences of connection and disconnection can coexist.
