The GS-1008PHE is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch with 4 PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports, designed for use in home, small or medium sized network environments. It is easily to connect and supplies power to any PoE-enabled devices such as wireless access points, network cameras, IP phones as well as the other Ethernet-enabled devices , for example, computers, printers, and network attached storages (NAS) onto the some network. The GS-1008PHE also features PoE detection, to verify whether the connected device is IEEE 802.3at compliant and supply power as needed; if it is not a PoE device, only data will be sent through the LAN cable.

The GS-1008PHE is with no configuration required. Just easily plug the Ethernet or PoE enabled devices into port 1 to port 4 of the GS-1008PHE switch, the data and power can be transmitted through the existing standard Cat-5e Ethernet cables with no additional cost for special cables.
