Description of the active subwoofer JBL Studio SUB260P brown espresso
The JBL SUB260P active subwoofer is equipped with a proprietary low-frequency speaker with a 300 mm PolyPlas cone mounted on the front panel. The woofer diffuser is equipped with special "rings", due to which it has increased rigidity, and its surface does not bend even during the sharpest vibrations. In addition, the subwoofer has a patented Slipstream bass reflex with low acoustic noise level, the outlet of which is located on the back of the cabinet.
The woofer in the JBL SUB260P is powered by an economical Class D amplifier that delivers up to 300W continuous maximum power and 600W peak power. Low heat dissipation of the amplifier made it possible to do without bulky external cooling radiators, which also benefited the device's appearance. The JBL SUB260P is equipped with line inputs, volume and input filter controls, and three switches. With the help of the latter, you can change the absolute phase of the signal, activate the automatic subwoofer mode or activate the Bass Boost bass boost mode. To eliminate wall vibrations at high sound volumes, the subwoofer cabinet is reinforced with specially designed internal ties.
The JBL SUB260P is relatively compact, and its upward-looking cabinet does not take up much space in the listening room while still providing ample room for deep bass reproduction. Neatly rounded corners give the JBL SUB260P a neat appearance and blend seamlessly with living spaces. The top panel of the subwoofer is finished in black piano lacquer, while the side panels have a textured finish. For optimal mechanical decoupling from the floor surface, the sub is equipped with conical supports.
The JBL SUB260P subwoofer will work great in home theater systems along with large front speakers, but it can be equally well used in stereo systems.
