A brand new HTP RSG-250 spool gun set up to plug right in to a Miller Trailblazer which has a 14 pin plug for the spool gun, a CV setting, and a contactor. The RSG-250 has a duty cycle of 60% @ 250 amps. The wire feed rate is adjustable from 50 to 650 inches/minute. It will handle .023, .030, .035, and .045" diameter wires. It will feed Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel and Flux Cored wires. The RSG-250 is made in the USA.
The wire feed rate is easily adjusted without going back to the welder, since we put the wire feed adjustment right in the bottom of the handle. We use a special notched tip for welding aluminum - the tip transfers the welding current to the wire better since there is a slight bend in the notch, forcing the wire to contact the tip. The notch also makes it much easier to remove a burnback if the wire burns back to the tip.
Connection is simple!
1) Plug the 14 pin plug supplied with your RGS-250 into the 14 pin recepticle on the front of your Trailblazer.
3) Connect the gas hose to your regulator.
4) Connect the power cable to correct lug on your Trailblazer
5) Start up your Trailblazer and you are ready to weld!
Miller wants you to buy a Spoolmatic 30A welding gun for about $1000 and a WC24 controller for another $250. That is $1250! You can keep $450 of your hard earned money in your pocket with the HTP system since the spool gun and the control module are both $799!
