And the band chose the Sk8-Hi for its iconic form, maintaining that signature aesthetic, before adding a few personal touches – such as the band’s instantly recognizable emblem.

With this release forming part of celebrations to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Foo Fighter’s self-titled debut album, a special embroidery tag has been added inside the tongue to denote the occasion, while the Sk8-Hi’s beloved Side stripe is just hinted at via contrast stitching, which Vans say mirrors the Foo Fighters’ stripped-back musical style.
