New to custom mechanical keyboards and don't know where to start? Meet the Womier RD75, 75% layout wireless QMK/VIA aluminum custom keyboard with tool-free rapid assembly design. You don't need a beginner's guide, we put everything you need in one keyboard.
This RD75 can be assembled and disassembled in 10 seconds without any tools. With the magnetic ball-catch housing and magnetic daughter board, you can get rid of the screws and ribbon cable and easily detach the top case, bottom case and inner parts including the PCB. This allows you to start customizing every component inside the keyboard the way you want. Together with a hot-swappable PCB and QMK/VIA support for key mapping and macros, you can have a personalized typing experience with ease.
Quick installation without screws or tools
Instead of most traditional screw-on mechanical keyboards, the RD75 has a ball catch to close the case. A common question about the Batch Catch part could be a safety concern that the case could easily fall off. We decided to use a custom CNC machined 6063 aluminum magnetic ball catch, which was customized to be smaller to fit into the RD75, and features adjustable load force that can be adjusted by tightening screws during installation to ensure safety and stability. Meanwhile, the magnetic daughter board allows you to get rid of the JST cable, no more tweezer will be needed when detach and retach the PCB, you can remove it without worrying about damaging it.
