1. Product Information: R180 is an all solid state automatic voltage regulator (AVR) for exciting brushless alternators powered by permanent magnet (PMG) exciters or auxiliary windings. 2. Potentiometer Terminal: R180 has an accessory input, which can be used as a potentiometer terminal when connected to a 1K Ω potentiometer or when ± 4.5VDC is required to change the terminal voltage. 3. Voltage Droop: This automatic voltage regulator requires 1A and 5A signals from the U phase droop current transformer to provide voltage droop, allowing the alternator to operate in parallel. 4.
