PV Combiner Box adalah sebuah perangkat yang mengelompokkan sejumlah string PV yang masuk untuk dijumlahkan agar mencapai arus keluaran tinggi sesuai dengan yg diinginkan.
Fungsi utama dari PV Combiner Box adalah untuk menggabungkan beberapa string panel surya menjadi satu output yang kemudian dihubungkan ke Inverter.
PV Combiner Box ini dilengkapi dengan Surge Protection Device yang handal untuk melindung sistem panel surya dari "over-voltage" contohnya karena sambaran petir, yang dapat merusak komponen lain apabila tidak diproteksi. Selain itu PV Combiner Box juga membatasi arus dari panel surya dan memutus arus apabila terjadi over current.
