He may not have attained the revered status of his late brother, Stevie Ray, but Jimmie Vaughan has carved out a special place for himself with his own blistering hot tone. The Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Stratocaster guitar from Fender features an alder body, a specially shaped and tinted maple neck with medium-jumbo frets, vintage hardware, and a single-ply pickguard. With single-coil Tex-Mex pickups in the neck and middle positions and a specially wired extra-hot Tex-Mex bridge pickup, it has an extra bite that's as sharp as a razor blade. The American Vintage synchronized tremolo provides remarkable tuning stability when bending single notes or entire chords, and with a custom-contoured body it provides superb playing comfort whether you're sitting or standing.
