For those in the heavyweight range with an average of a 1.5-pound metal body, it is not every arm stand job to hold them up securely for a long time.
Given the average weight an arm stand should carry in most cases, It is crazy that the FIFINE BM63 can handle around 4.4 pounds of weight, which is more than two of the heaviest desktop mics. No one will actually have two mics on one stand, but since it can hold up such mass weights while you do not need it to do that all the time, the durability will be crazy too.
Mind you: the BM63 does hold up a wide range of weight of microphones, but because it uses a universal 5/8” thread, there will not be any problem of using any microphone with a standard thread with it.
It is wrong to assume that the BM63 arm stand can only be found in some expensive setup and holding a heavy-duty microphone. You do not have to have a quite heavy mic to get the best out of it and to keep the arms staying in place and not bumping up and down.
