Description :
- E9018-G is an iron powder low hydrogen type electrode for all-position welding that provides good notch toughness of weld metal at low temperature
- Good usability and X-ray soundness of weld metal
Application :
- Welding of 60 kgf/mm2 class high tensile strength steel for pressure vessels, penstocks, bridges offshore constructions, vehicles and machinery
Remarks :
- Dry the electrodes at 350-400C for about one hour before use
- Store the electrodes at 100-150C after drying to keep away from moisture
- Adopt back step method or strike the arc on a small steel plate to prevent blowholes at the arc starting
- Keep the arc as short as possible
- Pre-heat at 100-150C
