Glamour photography has changed out of all recognition in the last few years. Gone are the days of soft-focus, fluffy-haired beauties, scorch-tanned models covered in baby oil, and predictable lighting arrangements shot by photographers with a king’s ransom in film camera equipment. His work has been exhibited by, and he is a member of, the Royal Photographic Society, with which he possesses a Licentiateship distinction. He was the editor of Digital Photography Buyer and User, the most authoritative guide to buying a digital camera, photo techniques and editing photographs in the PC darkroom, for nearly five years. He has been a selector for the Refocus Now Internasional Open competition for the past three years and has contributed to numerous publications.
John Kelly is one of the world’s leading glamour photographers. He has specialized in glamour photography practically since leaving art college and now has his own London studio. He combines work there with widespread location photography, his clients including most of the major glamour magazines, leading international companies, and advertising agencies.
