Used with Pulse Recorder and Analyser (free software), and a suitable scintillation detector, Gamma Spectacular becomes a full gamma spectrometry system.

Detector........: Suits most single wire Scintillation detectors and GM tubes*
Pulse shaping: integral pulse amplification and shaping
Pulse height..: + - 2 V (3.5 mm audio Jack)
Pulse length..: 100 µs
Ripple...........: less than 5 mV with detector connected
Drift..............: Stable after 20 minutes warm up.
Includes: USB Cable and a quality shielded 3.5 mm audio jack cable.
Gamma spectacular outputs a line level signal proportional to the pulse energy, and is designed to work with PRA software, an advanced signal processing software, utilising the analog to digital capabilities of modern computer sound cards.
RADIATION DETECTOR
This unit does not come with a radiation detector. For basic radiation activity measurements, it will work with most GM tubes or pancake detectors, and for Gamma spectroscopy it will work best with NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors coupled for positive bias voltage, preferably having 15 M ohm impedance or more.
