The Castles of Burgundy issetin the Burgundy region of High Medieva lFrance. Each player take sontherole of anaristocrat, originally controlling a small princedom .Whileplaying, the yaim to build settlement sand power fulcastles, practice trade a long the river,exploit silvermines, and use the knowled geoftravelers.

The game is about player staking settlementtiles from the game board and placing the min to their princedom, whichis represented by the player board. Every tile has a function that starts when the tilei splacedin the princedom. The princedom it self consists of severalregions ,each of which demands its own type of settlementtile.
