Upscale Living proudly collaborates with Konosuke Sakai to bring the HD2 series to Indonesia. On the right side of the blade, the knife is engraved with the Indonesian flag and the kanji “インドネシア”, meaning Indonesia.
First Impressions:
The HD2 knife feels perfectly balanced—neither too light nor too heavy—and comes with an out-of-the-box razor-sharp edge. As part of the Laser Sakai series, the HD2 is exceptionally well-crafted, durable, and made from semi-stainless mono steel, offering outstanding performance. The semi-stainless steel is easy to maintain, and the thin edge makes cutting a truly beautiful and precise experience.
Originally, in 2011, Konosuke released the HD series using limited semi-stainless steel. Due to its popularity, the material ran out, making further production impossible. The HD2 series revives this design with the same semi-stainless steel, combining excellent edge retention with easy maintenance. This steel is produced in very limited quantities, meaning once it’s gone, the HD2 cannot be reproduced.
