Mayco Flux - Flowing Effects & Food Safe

Mayco Flux interacts with other glazes to create movement, bringing about “hidden” colors and visual texture.

Flowing Effects
SW-401 Light Flux and SW-402 Dark Flux are mid-range glazes that were developed to be used in combination with other mid-range glazes to produce flowing effects.

How to apply Flux?
Apply with a brush 2-3 coats of Flux layered with your glaze to create variation in the color and enhance mobility.
The thicker the application, the more mobility.
One single coat of Flux will affect the color but will have little effect on the mobility of the glaze

Order?
The order in which you apply Flux – on top of or underneath another glaze (can impact the fired result)

DO NOT apply flux on the 1/3 part from the bottom of the pottery to prevent glaze run-off.

Size: 118 mL
Firing temperature: Designed to fire to cone 5 or 6, but can be fired to cone 10 (movement will be more noticeable at higher temperatures).
Always test before firing it in large bulk.
