The NOD-3 Morning Star is a compact pedal effect from the NUX Mini Core Series. It is a lo-gain overdrive effect with a subtle warm distortion tailored for all bluesmen, but players of other genres will also appreciate its services. Especially since, in addition to the standard sound editing options (EQ, volume and gain), it offers an added circuit labeled Shine, which offers the possibility of brightening the sound by boosting/enhancing high frequencies (Shine mode is activated via the box's footswitch).
 
The pedal has the advantage of switching between true bypass and buffered bypass circuitry, where when used with other effects you will welcome the buffered bypass option to compensate for any possible drop in signal quality. The power supply is provided by a 9V adapter.
