Tama Superstar Hyper-Drive Rack toms, Floor toms & Snare drums are made of 6-ply Maple whilst Bass drums come in at 8-ply, producing full, powerful character and the rich resonance from carefully selected Maple shells.. With fashions moving towards 'short-stack' Rack toms, Tama created their own branding, Hyper-Drive, with short depths creating enhanced attack, punchy sound, and quick response. (They're also great for set-ups that require low-slung Rack toms!) In contrast, Tama Superstar Hyper-Drive Bass drums are are available in Ultra Deep depths providing thunderous low end & maximum resonance. Finishing touches that should propel this kit into a higher price bracket include the unique Star-Cast Mounting System, Black Nickel shell hardware and matching Die-Cast hoops.
