It all started with tickling. Roger hargrieves's son Adam asked him what a tickling look like. In response, Roger drew a little orange man with an unusually long arms that could reach anywhere and tickle anyone.

So Mr Tickle was born, the first of Mr. Man. Mr Greedy, Mr Happy, Mr Nosey, Mr sneeze and Mr bump soon joined Mr Tickle. The books immediately became a hit, and Roger created many more characters "Mr. Man" and "Little Miss".

In fact, Roger wanted to make kids laugh, probably so his favorite character is Mr silly.
