Orphéon Eau de Parfum by Diptyque is a Woody Chypre fragrance for women and men.
The juniper is bright and incisive in the opening, though not so aggressively sharp that it stings; it is the pleasant, bracing burn of the first sip of a strong gin & tonic. That initial juniper hit is immediately tempered by wisps of smoky jasmine, as if a stranger has just brushed past you and you get a whiff of their perfume, as well as hints of the cigarette they just had outside. Then those notes quiet down as they're joined by a soft, powdery companion. Their scent triggers an automatic sense of comfort.
