PALAxMuklay Lembuswana is a brain child of PALA and the artist Muklay in releasing a product that celebrates myth and legends in Nusantara.
PALAxMuklay Lembuswana tells the story of King Mulawarman’s pack mythical creature. Mulawarman would ride Lembuswana and travel at light speed from kingdom to kingdom. Lembuswana is described as a hybrid with the head of a lion wearing a crown, a trunk of an elephant, wings of garuda and body covered in scales like a fish. Lembuswana is believed to be still dwelling in the bottom of Mahakam river even until today.
PALAxMuklay Lembuswana aspires to share and preserve stories that once passed from father to son, and son to their sons and now starting to be forgotten. Lembuswana story is just a tip of a mega-iceberg of Nusantara mythical creature waiting to be told for future generation, as a source of inspiration and pride as part of the wonderful archipelago.
