4. Explanations for Outputs
4.1 UART Controlled Output
Baud Rate: 115200 bps

Verification: None
When the trigger input pin "RX" receives a trigger pulse with a falling edge or any serial port data, the falling edge will trigger the module to work once, and the output pin "TX" will output one measurement data.
The trigger cycle T must be greater than 15ms.

5. Modbus Protocol Explanation
5.1 Accessibility of Modbus Mode
The sensors with UART Controlled output (GL082MT) support Modbus communication only within 500ms after power-on.
Tips: To read or write the register, the suggestion is to set command repeated every 100ms before power-on.
The sensors with RS485 output (GL082M4) support Modbus communication all the time after power-on.
5.2 Modbus Protocl Parameters and Format

Address of Sensor as slave: 0x01 (default, changeable)

Note: The command interval shall be longer than the register's response time, in order to ensure the data frame is completely received.

Explanation: Address of sensor is 0x01. Prcessed distance value is 0x 02F2, of which decimal distance is 754mm.
To read real time value:

Explanation: Address of sensor is 0x01. Read-time distance value is 0x02EF, of which decimal distance is 751mm.
To read temperature:

Explanation: Address of sensor is 0x01. Real-time temperature value is 0x012C, of which decimal temperature is 30.0.
Note: The temperature is acquired from the internal circuit of sensor module, not the air around. It acts as reference for distance calculation.
To change sensor/slave address:

Explanation: Address of sensor is changed from 0x01to 0x05.
If the address of sensor is forgoten, the broadcast address 0xFF can be used to look up the real address provided that only 1 sensor is connected:

It shows the address of sensor is 0x01. 0xFF is broadcast address.
