The Myrtle is an amazingly versatile folding knife that accurately reflects the refined style and craftsmanship of its designer, Belgian custom knifemaker Filip de Leeuw. Its unique blade profile combines the hardcore cutting performance of a broad, leaf-shaped blade with the enhanced utility and dexterity of a slightly hooked point. Full-flat ground from CPM S30V powder-metallurgy stainless steel and featuring a PlainEdge cutting edge, its hybrid shape and exceptional edge geometry allow it to excel at all types of cutting tasks. A generously sized Trademark Round Hole also proudly identifies its Spyderco pedigree and ensures swift, positive one-handed opening. The Myrtle's blade is paired with an equally unique handle that consists of a solid titanium scale on the reverse side and a skeletonized titanium liner, a titanium bolster, and a solid marbled carbon fiber scale on the front side. The solid titanium scale serves as the foundation of a sturdy Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism that locks the blade securely when open. It is also the anchor point of a wide hourglass clip that ensures convenient right-side tip-up carry for instant access. The Myrtle's unique clip also does double duty as an overtravel stop for the R.I.L. lock and, like the titanium scale, liner, and bolster, features a handsome non-reflective stonewash finish.
