Excalibur - The Knights of Round Table III - Roger Dubuiz - Biru

King Arthur’s knights are back and have joined Roger Dubuis once again for a new (limited) edition of the Excalibur Knights of the Round Table.

As is tradition with the Knights of the Round Table series, the case back is engraved with the knights’ pledge as put forth by Merlin: “Around this table, the bravest knights will gather as equals. They will set forth in search of adventure, righting wrongs, protecting the weak and humbling the proud.”

The knights are now sculpted by using a technique called ‘low poly sculpting’. With this technique, polygonal facets are used to create the figures. This technique was especially developed for creating 3D models and for use in video games.

All twelve of them are also finished to perfection before they take their place at the round table inside the 45mm Excalibur case.

The table itself, on which the knights present their swords, crafted from solid blocks of blue enamel, the rode in on the watch straight from Avalon.

As is traditional with the ‘Knights of the Round Table’ editions of Roger Dubuis, it has the pledge engraved on it, along with a blue, below Calibre RD 821, comes with the prestigious Geneva Seal.

With the Excalibur Knights of the Round Table III, which is limited to 28 pieces, Roger Dubuis has given this exquisite series an tantalizing new chapter, and also a future. This more futuristic version still embodies the theme of King Arthur’s legend, yet opens up a world of other interpretations of this classic theme.
