3K CARBON TechnologyThe design of the MET Trenta 3K Carbon works better than any other helmet on the market. The MET research and development team found that with the modulus of elasticity of carbon, the density of the EPS foam can be reduced by 20% without negatively affecting the energy absorption capacity. The result is a tremendously lightweight yet better performing helmet shell that sets a new standard in ventilated helmet manufacturing.
NACA ventOriginally developed by NACA, a predecessor to NASA, this cleverly placed vent generates a cooling effect throughout the head. Warm air inside the helmet is forced out through specially positioned air vents. This ensures a constant flow of air through the inside of the helmet without increasing drag.
Rear deflectorThe back of a helmet has a huge effect on ventilation with the outlet of warm air. The MET Trenta 3K Carbon features a shallow rear deflector angled at 25°. This allows you to incorporate two wide air outlets that optimize airflow while you're pushing your performance limits in an understeer position.
Tubular rearThe rear of the helmet is also of aerodynamic importance. It uses synergy with the NACA vent and rear deflector to dissipate airflow without turbulence. As a result of extensive wind tunnel testing at the NEWTON Lab in Milan, we designed the rear end to be flatter to optimize aerodynamics.
Contact surface with the headThe MET Trenta 3K Carbon was designed so that only 30% of the head comes into contact with the racing helmet when worn. As a result, the remaining 70% of the head benefits from the optimized airflow that passes through the sophisticated system of ventilation channels inside, ensuring the most effective cooling possible.
Sunglasses portsSpecial rubber ports keep sunglasses securely on the helmet when not in use.
