The turbidity sensor module uses 3Pin XH2.54 connector to connect with the sensor probe, and supports two channels of signal output on-board 10K adjustable potentiometer. The trigger threshold of digital signal can be adjusted by turning the knob of the potentiometer.
The turbidity of water refers to the degree of turbidity caused by suspended substances such as mud, clay, organic matter, plankton, and microorganisms in the water. Industrial grade turbidity sensors or turbidity meters are expensive and not suitable for use in electronic product design due to their high cost; This turbidity sensor utilizes optical principles to comprehensively judge the turbidity situation through the transmittance and scattering rate in the solution. The sensor is internally equipped with an infrared tube. When light passes through a certain amount of water, the amount of light transmitted depends on the degree of turbidity of the water. The more polluted the water, the less light passes through. The light receiving end converts the intensity of the transmitted light into the corresponding magnitude of the current. The more light is transmitted, the greater the current. Conversely, the less light is transmitted, the smaller the current. The turbidity sensor module converts the current signal output by the sensor into a voltage signal, and processes the AD conversion data through a microcontroller. This module has analog and digital output interfaces. The analog quantity can be sampled and processed through a microcontroller A/D converter to obtain the current water turbidity. The digital quantity can adjust the trigger threshold through the potentiometer on the module. When the turbidity reaches the set threshold, the L1 indicator light will be turned on, and the output of the sensor module will change from high level to low level.
