Beautifully made in Japan by Minoura, the SLMV-1 suits a wide range of small wheeled bicycles including Birdy and Brompton.
In general use, Brompton bicycles don't tend to require a kickstand as the bike can be parked easily by unlatching the rear triangle for parking.

There are however circumstances where this is impractical and a kickstand can come in very handy indeed - particularly if you've loaded up the rear-rack.
That's where the SLMV-1 comes in handy - easy to use, and neatly fitted on the bike, it in no way interferes with regular folding or riding, but adds a handy option that you can appreciate when you need it. This product has also been sold as SL-BD-1, but the designation was recently changed to SLMV-1 by the manufacturer, Minoura, in Japan.
